Scriptures

The scriptures are full of descriptions that the earth is NOT a sphere. When the words are taken literally and considering the original Hebrew translations, it all makes sense as a topographical plane with layers of firmament above. There is no reason God would inspire the writers to dumb it down for the people of the time writing. We know that God’s Word is true yesterday, today, and forever. Consider reading it with fresh eyes and ask Jesus why he wouldn’t have corrected them about where we live. The cosmology of their time was a flat earth paradigm. Numerous events and descriptions throughout the text make complete sense through the literal interpretation of the creation story.

Stationary Earth

Job 38:4-6
“Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding…On what were its foundations set, or who laid its cornerstone…

Does a sphere have a foundation? A cornerstone?

– Job 38:14
The earth takes shape like clay under a seal (signet ring), until its colors are fixed like those of a garment.”

Psalm 75:3
“The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.”

Psalms 93:1
“The Lord reigns; he is robbed in majesty; the lord is robbed, he is girded with strength. Yea, the world is established; it shall never be moved.

Psalm 104:5
“He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.”

1 Chronicles 16:30
“…tremble before him, all earth; yea, the world stands firm, never to be moved.

Shape of the earth

According to the Scriptures the entire earth can be seen from heaven and nothing would be hidden. This would not be possible on a sphere.

Job 28:24
“For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees everything under the heavens.”

Isaiah 40:22
“God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.”

Note that the word “circle” does not mean “ball”. In an earlier chapter, Isaiah 22:18, a different word is used that describes “ball”:

“The LORD is about to shake you violently. He will take hold of you, roll you into a ball, and sling you into a wide land.”

Daniel 4:11
“The visions of my head as I lay in bed were these: I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great. The tree grew and became strong, and its top reached to heaven, and it was visible to the end of the whole earth. ”

Daniel saying “the midst of the earth” implies that it has a center on the surface. A sphere on the other hand, would mean the center is inside at a core. The tree he describes can be seen from the end of the whole earth.

Matthew 4:8
“Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them;”

Lamentations 3:50
“…until the Lord looks down from heaven and sees.”

Isaiah 44:24
“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb; “I am the Lord, who made all things, who stretched out the heavens alone, who spread out the earth — Who was with me? —

If the earth was a sphere, you likely wouldn’t use words like “spread out” to describe its creation. Maybe “molded like a ball” or “gathered together”, “sculpted”, but not “spread out”. “Spread out” implies flattening out like dough to make a pizza. No one would ever say they “spread out” hamburger to make meatballs.

Job 26: 7
“He stretches out the north over the void, He hangs the earth on nothing.”

People often think this “void” or “nothing” must mean we are in “space”, but if the earth has “pillars”, as we read in Psalm 75:3, this makes complete sense that there would be a void below. It would make even more sense because “void” implies that there is a limit to this empty area, not everywhere like they would say in the globe model.

Extent of the earth

Psalms 103:12
As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

On a flat plane, if you were to start directions east or west and go straight, you would eventually end up as far away from each other as possible, at the ends of the earth.

Deuteronomy 28:64
“And the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other; and there you shall serve other gods, of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known.”

Deuteronomy 33:17
“His firstling bull has majesty, and his horns are the horns of a wild ox; with them he shall push the peoples, all of them, to the ends of the earth; such are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and such are the thousands of Manasseh.”

1 Samuel 2:10
“The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; against them he will thunder in heaven. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth; he will give strength to his king, and exalt the power of his anointed.”

Job 38:13
“That it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?

Psalms 19:4-6
“Yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes forth like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and like a strong man runs his course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and there is nothing hid from its heat.”

Psalms 22:27
“All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord; and all the families of the nations shall worship before him.”

Psalms 46:9
“He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the chariots with fire!”

Psalms 48:10
“As thy name, O God, so thy praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Thy right hand is filled with victory;”

Psalms 59:13
“Consume them in wrath, consume them till they are no more, that men may know that God rules over Jacob to the ends of the earth;”

Psalms 61:2
“From the end of the earth I call to thee, when my heart is faint. Lead thou me to the rock that is higher than I;”

Psalms 65:5
“By dread deeds thou dost answer us with deliverance, O God of our salvation, who art the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of the farthest seas;

Isaiah 41:9
“You whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”;”

Jeremiah 51:16
“When he utters his voice there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth.

Daniel 4:10-11
“The visions of my head as I lay in bed were these: I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth; and its height was great. The tree grew and became strong, and its top reached to heaven, and it was visible to the end of the whole earth.”

Mark 13:27
“And then they will send out the angels, and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.

Job 38:18
“Have you surveyed the extent of the earth? Tell Me, if you know all this.”

Take note of what God is telling us; if we have not surveyed the extent of the earth, we know not the extent of it!

Edge of the earth

Job 26:10
“He draws the horizon like a circle on the water at the place where light and darkness meet.”

Job 37:3
Under the whole heaven he lets it go, and his lightning to the corners of the earth.

Job 38:20-31
From whose womb does the ice emerge? Who gives birth to the frost from heaven, when the waters become hard as stone and the surface of the deep is frozen? Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades or loosen the belt of Orion?…

Seems to describe the Antarctic wall of ice and how the stars are fixed in relation to each other as the sky moves.

Job 38:8-11
Who enclosed the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb, when I made the clouds its garment and thick darkness its blanket, when I fixed its boundaries and set in place its bars and doors, and I declared: ‘You may come this far, but no farther; here your proud waves must stop’?

Proverbs 8:27-29
“When he established the heavens, I was there, when he drew a circle on the face of the deep, when he made firm the skies above, when he established the fountains of the deep, when he assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters might not transgress his command, when he marked out the foundations of the earth,”

Isaiah 11:12
“He will raise an ensign for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”

Isaiah 41:9
“You whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”;

Revelation 7:1
“After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on the earth or sea or against any tree.”

Revelation 20:8
“And will come out to deceive the nations which are at the four corners of the earth, that is, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.”

Isaiah 41:5
“The isles saw it , and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.”

Clearly the scriptures are emphasizing there are ends to the earth.

(In a globe model, a sphere has no “ends”.)

Water surrounding the earth

The scriptures describe there being waters above the heavens and beneath the earth. It doesn’t seem to say this is the rain or ground water. Instead, it says that the firmament of the heavens are “restrained”, as if holding back unbelievably large amounts of water, which the stars are IN. The earth is said to be firmly mounted, unmoving, as it has pillar foundations in the midst of water below. What is outside all of this? The scriptures specifically say that no one will be able to measure it.

Jeremiah 31:37
“Just as the heavens cannot be measured and the foundations of the earth cannot be explored, so I will not consider casting them away for the evil they have done. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

Deuteronomy 4:16-18
“Beware lest you act corruptly by making a graven image for yourselves, in the form of any figures, the likeness of male or female, the likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth.”

2 Peter 3:5
“They are deliberately ignoring one fact: Because of God’s word, heaven and earth existed a long time ago. The earth appeared out of water and was kept alive by water.”

Genesis 1:6-9
“And God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”

Psalms 136:6
“…to him who spread out the earth upon the waters, for his steadfast love endures forever;

Psalms 136:6
“To him who spread out the earth upon the waters, for his steadfast love endures forever;

The waters behind the sky are kept in place by the strength of the firmament. Openings (windows) in the firmament could be the source of the flood that wiped out humanity in the time of Noah, but this doesn’t mean all the water was used and the firmament is no more. The rainbow is a promise with a shape makes more sense as a manifestation of a dome container.

Genesis 7:11
“In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventh day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth and the windows of the heavens were opened.”

Genesis 8:2
“The fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained,”

Isaiah 24:18
“He who flees at the sound of the terror shall fall into the pit; and he who climbs out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.”

Exodus 20:4
“You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;”

Deuteronomy 5:8
“You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the water under the earth;”

Celestial and the terrestrial

Genesis 11:4-7
Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Behold they are one people, and they have one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do; and nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Come, let us go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

Psalm 115:16
“The heavens are the Lord’s heavens, but the earth is given to the sons of men.”

1 Corinthians 15:40-41
“There are celestial bodies and there are terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another, There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

Firmament – Sky – Heavens

Genesis 1:6
“And God said, ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters’.”

Genesis 1:8
“And God called the firmament Heaven.”

Genesis 1:14 – 16
“And God said, Let there be lights IN the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. ”

Gen 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights IN the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”

Exodus 24:10
“And they saw the place where the God of Israel stood; and under his feet was as it were a work of sapphire slabs, and as it were the appearance of the firmament of heaven in its purity.”

Amos 9: 6
“The One who builds His upper chambers (layers) in the heavens (sky) And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth, He who calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the face of the earth, The Lord is His name.. ”

Revelation 14:2
“Then I heard a sound from heaven like the noise of raging water and the noise of loud thunder. The sound I heard was like the music played by harpists.”

Job 22:14
“Thick clouds enwrap him, so that he does not see, and he walks on the vault of heaven.”

Job 37:18
Can you, like him, spread out the skies, hard as a molten mirror?

In some translations it describes the firmament like bronze. We can gather from this that the material is strong and firm.

Job 37:18
“can you, like Him, spread out the skies to reflect the heat like a mirror of bronze?”

1 Kings 8:43
“Then hear thou in heaven, in the firmament of thy dwelling place, and do all those things, for which that stranger shall call upon thee: that all the people of the earth may learn to fear thy name, as do thy people Israel, and may prove that thy name is called upon on this house, which I have built.”

Isaiah 40:22
“It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;

Isaiah 44:24
“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb; “I am the Lord, who made all things, who stretched out the heavens alone, who spread out the earth — Who was with me? —

Isaiah 48:13
My hand laid out the foundation of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I call to them, they stand forth together.”

Deuteronomy 33:26
“There is not any such as the God of the beloved; he who rides upon the heaven is thy helper, and the magnificent One of the firmament.”

Mark 1:10
“As Jesus came out of the water, he saw heaven split open and the Spirit coming down to him as a dove.”

2 Corinthians 5:1
“For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made by human hands, eternal in the heavens.

Not only does God walk around on the heavens, so too does the sun, or rather it runs around on the heavens.

Psalms 19:4-6
“Yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes forth like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and like a strong man runs his course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and there is nothing hid from its heat.

Psalms 72:16
And there shall be a firmament on the earth on the tops of mountains, above Libanus shall the fruit thereof be exalted : and they of the city shall flourish like the grass of the earth.

Psalms 150:1
“Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament!

“Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?”

Gen 1:6
“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”

Gen 1:14
“And God said, Let there be lights IN the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years…”

(If all the firmament fell during the flood, the lights would have fallen also since they are IN it? The amateur videos of stars look like they are in water, not a vacuum of space. When it is saying IN, that seems to imply it’s in one of the layers.)

Gen 1:16
“And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.”

Job 37:18
“Hast thou with him spread out the sky, Which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

Job 22:14
Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; And he walketh in the circuit of heaven.”

“And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings. ”

Ezekiel 1:26
“And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. ”

Amos 9: 6
“The One who builds His upper chambers in the heavens And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth, He who calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the face of the earth, The Lord is His name.. ”

Rev 4:2-3
“And instantly I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it.  The one sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones—like jasper and carnelian. And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow.”
(Seems to be describing the northern lights and the rainbow shows the dome firmament is still there as a promise)

Psalm 19:1
“The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament sheweth his handywork.”

Psalm 91:1 is the verse referenced on the gravestone of the famous Wernher Von Braun astronaut from NASA.

Matthew 3:16
“When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.”

Rev 21:2
“And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.”

Daniel 12:3
“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”

Hebrews 4:14
“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.”

Acts 7:56
and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

“And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.”
Revelation 6:14

2 Corinthians 12:2
“I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago— whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows— such a man was caught up to the third heaven.”

Here we see Paul describing that there is more than one “heaven” and in Genesis the word “firmament” is synonymous with “heaven”. It seems to be saying there are layers of firmament above. This is reinforced in other places like the Book of Enoch that say there are 10 layers to the firmament. Jewish literature describes there being 7 layers.

“The apocryphal text commonly referred to as the 2nd Book of Enoch, or the Book of Secrets of Enoch , contains a surprisingly traditional view of both the Judeo-Christian Kingdom of Heaven and its Angelic inhabitants. This is in spite of the fact that this particular Book has been lost for nearly 1,200 years. Apparently, this same document had been held in high esteem among at least some members of the early Christian Church. It contains numerous comments and remarks by the author Enoch of his vivid celestial journey through ten different parts of the Kingdom of Heaven, which are inhabited by a multitude of different Angels, many of them with wings. Similar to the early Church, the theological doctrine of multiple levels of Heaven can be found in at least one of St, Paul’s letters and should continue to be understood as a thoroughly Christian belief system.” – Judeo/Christian Tradition website

Other beliefs describe there being 7 heavens such as in Islam, Greek, Mesopatamia, Judaism etc. and the Book of Enoch’s account simply expands on the 7.

Book of 2 Enoch

10 Summaries of the 10 Heavens of II Enoch (Layers of Firmament)

I. The 1st Heaven – Clouds, Stars, Snow, and Morning Dew: Located atop the clouds and inhabited by winged Angels, this is where the rulers and elders of the constellations reside here with 200 angels. Nearby is the Great Sea, larger than any of earth’s oceans, while the Heavenly store-houses for both snow and morning dew are located here. (II Enoch 3:1, 4:1, 5:1, 6:1)

II. The 2nd Heaven – Prison of Darkness, Death and Despair: A place of darkness where the angels of darkness who joined with Satan in his original rebellion have been imprisoned, hanging from chains and awaiting Judgment Day. (II Enoch 7:1-3)

III. The 3rd Heaven – Mercy of Paradise and Justice of Hell: A Paradise reserved for the good and the righteous, consisting of a fragrant orchard grove with the fiery golden Tree of Life in the center where the LORD rest when visiting. The roots to the Tree of Life extend downwards to the Garden of Eden below and there four different springs flowing with milk, honey, wine, and oil. 300 singing Angels tend the Garden. In contrast, the northern section is a terrible place of icy, frozen darkness with a river of fire flowing through it and inhabited by fierce cruel angels with weapons who torture those sinners who have been condemned here. (II Enoch 8:1-10, 9:1, 10:1-3)

IV. The 4th Heaven – Twelve Gates of the Sun and the Moon: Includes the 12 great gates (and pathways) of the Moon, the 6 eastern gates and 6 western gates of the Sun along with all its different pathways. Guarded and maintained by thousands upon thousands of Angels, the sun is escorted daily by 8,000 other stars and needs 100 Angels just to light its fire Some of the inhabitants include six-winged creatures who accompany the Angels, exotic Rainbow-colored Phoenixes and Chalkydri with heads like crocodiles, as well as armed soldiers who are constantly singing and playing musical instruments. (II Enoch 11:1-6, 12:1-2, 13:1-2, 14:1-2, 15:1-3, 16:1-3, 17:1)

V. The 5th Heaven – Giants of Silence, Sadness and Regret: A sad, solemn place of silence and gloom filled with a countless number of gigantic human soldiers called the Grigori who chose Satan as their prince and rejected the LORD of light. Their faces are withered, but they still remain capable of occasionally singing praises unto the LORD. (II Enoch 18:1-7)

VI. The 6th Heaven – Archangels of the Arts and Sciences: Traditional home of seven different groups of Angels who both rule over the stars, keeping track of their motions, as well overseeing and managing the various governments on Earth. They also keep records of everyone’s good or bad deeds, and keep careful watch over earth’s natural systems of life and death. Other inhabitants include six Phoenixes, six Cherubim, six Seraphim who, with one voice, sing songs so other-worldly, they remain impossible to describe. (II Enoch 19:1-3)

VII. The 7th Heaven – Powers and Dominions of Fire and Light: an Angelic realm of light and fire, filled with the many different eternally loyal soldiers of the LORD including Archangels, Virtues (forces), Dominions, Powers, (orders), and Principalities (governments). Also present are the other-worldly Cherubim, seraphim, thrones, and other celestial being with many eyes, along with what the text calls ‘nine regiments’ and the ‘Ioanit stations of light.’ (II Enoch 20:1-2, 21:3)

VIII.The 8th Heaven – Summer and Winter of Drought and Snow: Controls and changes the different seasons of the year causing either draught or rain on Earth. Also contains the twelve constellations. (II Enoch 21:7)

IX. The 9th Heaven – Twelve Secret Mansions of the Stars in the Night: Considered the celestial homes of the constellations which lie both above and behind the 12 groups of stars as seen in the circular night sky above the Earth. Called Kuchavim in Hebrew. (II Enoch 21:8)

X. The 10th Heaven – Cherubim, Seraphim, and the Throne of Thunder and Lightning: Seen as the highest of Heavens as well as the actual location of the LORD God’s mighty Throne of Judgment. Typically, this is where the LORD holds counsel with His Angels and Saints, making His decisions, handing down His judgments, and commanding His countless Angels who surround Him as they sing songs of praise and glory. (II Enoch 22:1-10)

Mobility of the sun

Joshua 10:12-13
“Then spoke Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord gave the Amorites over to the men of Israel; and he said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand thou still at Gibeon, and thou Moon in the valley of Aijalon.” And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stayed in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.”

The evidence in support of a geocentric model is overwhelming here. Joshua commanded the sun to stand still. He did not order the earth to cease rotating nor did he qualify his statement with the divine knowledge that the sun was merely made to appear stationary. The sun was commanded to stand still because it is the sun that moves. Descriptions of its motion can be rather poetic.

Ecclesiastes 1:5
“The sun rises and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it rises.”

Habakkuk 3:11
“The sun and moon stood still in their habitation at the light of thine arrows as they sped, at the flash of thy glittering spear.”

Psalm 19:6
“His (the sun’s) going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.”

When the scriptures describe the sun rising and setting, it is literally saying it comes and goes from one end of the sky to the other. This makes sense on a flat earth where the sun is moving in a circle above the face of the earth and the earth sits still. The “Day the Earth Stood Still” is everyday. The lights in the sky move around us just like they demonstrate in a planetarium.

Stars

The stars are exactly as they appear — mere points of light fastened to the sky that would fall to earth were they ever dislodged. Distant suns, far larger than the earth could not fall to earth but small points of light could. Perhaps they are sentient as scripture describes God is light and we know life is light.

Isaiah 14:12-13
“How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far north;”

Daniel 8:10
“It grew great, even to the host of heaven; and some of the host of the stars it cast down to the ground and trampled upon them.”

Matthew 24:29
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;”

Revelation 6:13
“And the stars of the sky fell to earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale;”

Revelation 12:4
His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to bear a child, that he might devour her child when she brought it forth;”

Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians spells it out more clearly — the sun and the stars are different.

1 Corinthians 15:40-41
“There are celestial bodies and there are terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another, There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.”

The next verse describes an actual astronomical event.

Acts 19:35
“And when the town clerk had quieted the crowd, he said, “Men of Ephesus, what man is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple keeper of the great Artemis, and of the sacred stone that fell from the sky?

Today we call these stones meteorites. Note how the contemporary connection between meteorites and shooting stars is not made. The Bible’s authors appear not to care about its use as a scientific reference by future generations.

Deuteronomy 4:19
“And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.”

Joshua 10:13
“So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.”

Isaiah 34:4
“And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.”

Matt 24:29
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”

Here it’s said that the moon gives it’s own light, not a reflection. It’s important to note that this is Jesus talking to the Hebrew people who had a Geocentric, flat earth, understanding. Would he not have corrected them if the earth was a sphere?

Rev 6:13
“..and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.”

How can you have stars falling from heaven if they are forever expanding away and outwards as the globe model claims? They say the stars are huge so if they did fall then they would destroy the earth.

Mark 13:25
“the stars will be seen falling from the firmament, and the forces which are in the heavens will be disordered and disturbed.”

Underworld

Phil 2:10-11
“…that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;”

Rev 5:3, 13
“And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. ”

Job 26: 7
“He stretches out the north over the void, He hangs the earth on nothing.”

Luke 8:31
“The demons kept begging Jesus not to send them into the bottomless pit.”

There is no UNDER the earth on a globe, but on this description of a flat, stationary, plane on pillars, it would make sense that there would be a bottomless pit underneath where the demons don’t want to go.

Ezekiel 26:20
“Then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of old, and I will make you remain in the lower parts of the earth, like the ancient ruins, with those who go down to the pit, so that you will not be inhabited; but I will put glory in the land of the living.”

Revelation 9:2
“And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace.”

Revelation 20:2-3
“Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the Abyss, holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he threw him into the Abyss, shut it, and sealed it over him, so that he could not deceive the nations until the thousand years were complete. After that, he must be released for a brief period of time.…”

Warnings

– Psalm 118:8-17
“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.”

– Rev 12:9-12
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Deut 4:19
“And when you look up into the sky and see the sun, moon, and stars—all the forces of heaven—don’t be seduced into worshiping them. The Lord your God gave them to all the peoples of the earth.”

– Romans 1:25
“They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen”

Isn’t it interesting that they name everything as Greek gods? Just a coincidence? Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Titan – Centaur, Olympus, Ulysses, Mars, Juno, and the recent Artemis? Surely they must have heard the Bible saying not to do this. Or maybe they do it to mock? They must not have heard that God cannot be mocked.

Revelation 12:11-17
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”
